Consultant Emergency Physician
Dr. Ashin Rahim is a Consultant Emergency Physician with a clinical career spanning casualty, orthopaedic emergency, and critical care settings across government and private hospitals. He holds an MBBS and a Masters in Emergency Medicine (MEM), in affiliation with George Washington University, USA, built on strong hands-on experience in resuscitation, trauma care, and emergency department leadership.
His expertise spans the full range of emergency and critical care — including trauma, sepsis, cardiac and neurological emergencies, toxicology, and mass casualty and disaster response. He is skilled in advanced emergency procedures such as intubation, USG-guided line placements, POCUS, fracture reduction, central and arterial lines, dialysis catheter and ICD insertion, and percutaneous tracheostomy.
Dr. Ashin has served as a PG Resident in Emergency Medicine at Believers Church Medical College Hospital, Thiruvalla, where he managed high-volume emergency cases, led resuscitation teams, mentored junior residents and medical students, and played a key role in establishing the emergency department at Poyanil Hospital, Kozhenchery. He has also worked as a Junior Resident in Critical Care at Apollo Adlux Hospital, Angamaly, and held roles as Casualty Medical Officer and Assistant Surgeon across hospitals in Kollam.
He is certified in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and has participated in disaster response efforts including the UNITED '24 International Disaster Conference and a Mass Casualty Mock Drill, as well as active medical response during the Wayanad landslide disaster.
