Dr. Shahma S Hammed is an Emergency Medicine physician with over 3 years of clinical experience across casualty, emergency department, and critical care settings. She holds an MBBS and is currently completing a Masters in Emergency Medicine (MEM), affiliated with George Washington University, and has successfully cleared the MRCEM Primary and SBA examinations.

Her expertise spans trauma and acute care — including shock, sepsis, cardiac and neurological emergencies, toxicology, and mass casualty response — along with emergency procedures such as difficult airway management, ETT, USG-guided line placements, POCUS, and fracture reduction. She is also skilled in ECG interpretation, emergency ultrasound, and radiograph analysis.

Dr. Shahma currently serves as a PG Resident in Emergency Medicine at Believers Church Medical College Hospital, Thiruvalla, where she manages high-volume emergency cases, leads code blue and resuscitation teams, trains nursing staff in emergency protocols, and has contributed to establishing emergency departments at peripheral centres. She has also worked as a Junior Resident in the Emergency Department at Apollo Adlux Hospital, Angamaly, and as a Casualty Medical Officer at Newlife Clinic, Kollam.

She is certified in ACLS, BLS, and PALS, and serves as a BLS Instructor. Her academic achievements include 1st Prize for Poster Presentation at KERAL-EM 2025 and 3rd Prize at SimWars, EM Kerala 2026.
